What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government programme that provides funding and support to people with permanent and significant disability. It covers a wide range of supports, including sensory equipment and tools that assist with daily living, self-regulation, and development.
NDIS funding decisions are based on individual plans and goals. Whether a product can be claimed depends on each participant's plan, their functional needs, and whether the item aligns with their funded supports.
How it works at CC's Sensory Play
We provide invoices for NDIS participants managed in two ways:
- Self-managed participants, you pay for your order and use our invoice to claim reimbursement directly through the myNDIS portal.
- Plan-managed participants, we issue an invoice that you forward to your Plan Manager for payment on your behalf.
Simply place your order and let us know you are an NDIS participant. We will provide a proper tax invoice with all the details required by your plan manager or the NDIS portal.

How to place an NDIS order

Let us know at checkout: Leave a note at checkout mentioning you are an NDIS participant and whether you are self-managed or plan-managed.

Receive your tax invoice: We will confirm your order and issue a valid tax invoice with all required details.

Frequently asked questions
Are you a registered NDIS provider?
No, CC's Sensory Play is not a registered NDIS provider. However, self-managed and plan-managed participants can purchase from unregistered providers like us. If you are agency-managed (NDIA-managed), please check with your NDIS coordinator whether purchases from unregistered providers are approved in your plan.
Can I use my NDIS funding to buy from CC's Sensory Play?
If you are self-managed or plan-managed, you can purchase from us and use your NDIS funds, provided the products align with your plan goals and funding categories. We recommend checking with your plan manager before purchasing to confirm eligibility.
Do you provide tax invoices?
Yes! We provide proper tax invoices for all NDIS purchases. These include all the details required for submitting a claim or forwarding to your Plan Manager.
Which NDIS funding category covers sensory products?
Sensory products typically fall under Assistive Technology (Low Cost) or Core Supports — Consumables, depending on the item and your individual plan. Your plan manager or support coordinator can confirm which category applies to your situation.
